The sound and look of the game are spot on to me, and from this little peak of the game operating in-engine it looks like it'll still have a strong sense that the environments are as much of a character as the ships and people. The Angel of Hyperspace is a allowed to be a good looking woman, sue me. ![]() If they were really trying to catch the coomer-gamer crowd they could have given her nothing to wear except strategically placed cables and doubled her bust size. I feel like there's been a pervading fear in aaa game dev to lean hard on androgynous designs to avoid the slightest risk of sexualization, and it's not necessary. Curvy or lean, hair or no hair, it doesn't matter much to me if she still carries that otherworldy attitude and air of command. The gameplay/mechanics could be fine but aesthetically, would it feel like a Homeworld game? The image I've found and attached I think it does a better job capturing this feel I am talking about. The princess like wavy hair in a sea of light feels aesthetically disjointed to the previous Homeworld 1.Īlso revealing not too much and leaving something to the imagination is to be desired.
